From Fine Artist to Founder

I'm Katherine, the artist behind Rainey Studio. I make prints and paintings rooted in the places I've called home.

I grew up in the Carolinas and now live in Austin. Both places show up in the color palettes I gravitate toward, the subjects I keep returning to, the way I see a garden or a coastline or a new city for the first time. It all traces back to where I've been and what I still carry with me.

Rainey Studio started because making art brings me joy, and I wanted to share it. That's still the whole reason. I hope when you find something here, you can feel that it was made with care and intention.

Hand-Drawn, Made for Your Walls

Every piece starts as a sketch in my Austin studio. I work by hand first, then refine digitally until the composition and color are exactly right. The result is work that feels original without being fussy. Detailed enough to hold your attention, quiet enough to work anywhere in your home.
