From Fine Artist to Founder

I'm Katherine Shuler, the artist and designer behind Rainey Studio. I started this as a return to my fine art background — a way to make the kind of work I'd actually want in my own home.

I grew up on the East Coast and now live in Texas. The natural landscapes from both places inform how I think about color, light, and composition — not as literal representations, but as a foundation for the feeling I'm after in each piece.

What started as a personal project turned into something bigger when I realized other people were looking for the same thing: art that feels intentional and personal, pieces that grow with you through different chapters of your life.
